Personal Medical Database (ECMED)

ECMED is a patient-centric medical database. The system gives users the privilege of having their own personal medical records stored securely in a database accessible via the Internet and the GSM network. Thus, every user is capable of updating his/her own account by using a computer with Internet access or any mobile device with SMS/MMS/GPRS capability.

Authorized doctors can create their own accounts which will be accessible by the patients. Patients can then select doctors to authorize and give permission to make online diagnoses and prescriptions for them.

An automated urinalysis test is also integrated into the medical database which allows patients to do their own urinalysis test using an MMS capable camera phone, a web cam or a digital camera with an Internet enabled computer.
